Folded Kitchen is an architectural collision of restraint and exuberance. A language of folded walls disrupts the static geometry of the house to create an indoor planter, banquette seating, massive kitchen island, and custom triangular skylight before crashing into an intricately detailed bank of modern cabinetry. The design was driven by the clients’ embrace of Rem’s mantra “More is More” tempered by their requirement for a kitchen that would function as well as it looks. #knowhow2201
